JC “The Leg Lock Monster” Llamas (8-7) will be back in “La Jaula.”

On Friday, August 2, Combate Americas returns to Fresno, California, for the third time. Six years after his last fight in the promotion, the welterweight JC Llamas returns to face the dangerous Joaquin Lopez (5-1).

Combate Americas began as a reality show on Mun2, where ten fighters in two different weight classes competed for the chance to win an exclusive contract with Combate Americas. The ten fighters included JC Llamas.

Chino and Nacho hosted the series, while Daddy Yankee was the first commissioner of Combate Americas.

Llamas made his official debut in Combate Americas in 2013, where he loss by unanimous decision to Danny Morales Jr., one of his rivals during the reality show.

The 34-year-old fighter, who earned five of his eight professional victories by (T)KO or submission, comes from fighting legend Chris Lytle under the “bare knuckle” rules.

This could be a new beginning for the professional career of JC Llamas, an athlete who was with Combate Americas in the early days of the company, and who will now have the opportunity to compete in Combate Fresno’s co-headliner.

The Combate Americas event in Fresno, California, will be held on August 2nd at the Save Mart Center and will be headlined by a women’s flyweight clash between MMA pioneer Zoila Frausto (14-5) and three-time Central American judo champion Reina Córdoba of Costa Rica (9-1).
