NEW YORK November 17, 2021 – Combate Global today announced a five-fight Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event, on Friday, Nov. 19, live in the U.S. on Univision (12 a.m. ET/PT) and TUDN USA (12 a.m. ET/9 p.m. PT) from Miami, Fla.

The show will also air in Mexico on TUDN MX, beginning at 11 p.m. local time.

In the flyweight (125 pounds) main event today rival Mexican competitors Gerardo “Terrier” Graniel (7-2) and Ernesto “The Stallion” Ibarra (5-1) will face off with each other.

Hailing from Mexico City, the 27-year-old Graniel will return to Combate Global action for the second time this year following his second round (1:02) TKO (knee injury) conquest of Spain’s Roger Blanque on September 3.

Ibarra is a 25-year-old native resident of Ensenada, B.C., Mexico looking to bounce back from his first career defeat, a unanimous decision loss to Alan Beche Cantu that took place under the promotion of Combate Global on May 29. Prior to the loss, Ibarra had never lost as either a professional or amateur.

In a featured women’s bantamweight (135 pounds) matchup underscoring the ongoing rivalry between Mexico and the U.S. in La Jaula, the Combate Global competition cage, unbeaten Montserrat Rendon (1-0) of Cancun will battle Kristina Pettigrew (1-1) of San Diego, Calif.

A featured featherweight (145 pounds) affair will see Chris Boasso (3-1) of Miami meet Miguel “Iron Mike” Gonzalez (4-1) of Mexico City.

In one of two preliminary bouts, undefeated Cesar Hernandez (2-0) of San Francisco, Calif. will square off with Santiago Monreal (4-3) of Mexicali, B.C. at flyweight.

The other preliminary bout and another flyweight matchup will pit Carlos “Chacal” Reyes (2-1) of Tijuana, B.C. against Humberto Duarte (0-1) of Phoenix, Ariz.
