Elias Garcia certifies MMA career with win over Ivan Lopez

Miami, Fl– It was a winning restart for Elias Garcia’s (7-2) mixed martial arts career as he defeated Ivan Lopez (14-6) for his first victory since March 2018 in CG2021 November 26 main event.
Garcia, whose last fight was a defeat in December 2018, submitted Lopez by way of rear naked choke at 2:36 in the third round.
The fight started off with both men testing each other’s striking with Lopez striking a hard left hand. The fight later went to the ground where Garcia patiently waited to land a submission.
But that’s when Garcia’s experienced kicked in as he had opportunities to put an end to Lopez in the second round, however, it was not until the last chapter where Garcia was able to find an opening to submit his foe securing his continuation in this sport.
Ortega vs Velasquez
In the co-main event, the architect Yessica Ortega (1-1) defeated Maria del Rocio Velasquez (0-1) by way of unanimous decision.
For most of the fight, it was all Ortega all day as she out striked Velasquez who has a background in muay thai. Ortega landed vicious hands and knees.
The fight was kept on the feet for the most part of the fight where Ortega put on a striking clinic leaving Velasquez puzzled and damaged nose. At times, especially in the third round, Velasquez looked defenseless.
Jordan Beltran vs Joziro Boye
In a fight where Boye (17-7) displayed toughness, Beltran (11-7) defeated his foe by way of kimura at 4:04 third round.
Both men traded heavy blows right from the start, but Boye took several damaging shots but never surrendered, in fact, even when referee Tommy Santana stopped the fight, he stood up to debate the technical submission stoppage.
During the reading of the fight result, an elated Beltran hoisted a baby toy figure in honor of his newborn child.
