Miami, FLJose “Chepe Machine Gun” Mariscal (12-6) had a memorial Combate Global debut defeating Jordan Beltran (11-7) by way of technical knockout at 29 seconds in the second round of the main event of CG 2022 July 22: Beltran vs Mariscal.

Also, Canadian Katie Saull (5-5) put an end to Chile’s Gloria Bravo’s two fight win streak defeating her by way of unanimous decision.

Beltran vs Mariscal

Beltran capitalized on a Mariscal, when he inadvertently fell due to losing his footing. Beltran quickly worked from the guard and landed shots, however, Mariscal stayed patient, scrambled and escaped.

He later flipped the page and Mariscal landed heavy hands, pinning Beltran to la jaula, changed levels and took the fight to the floor. With 30 seconds left. Mariscal landed shots from the guard and a short time later the bell rang.

Right at the start of the second round, Mariscal shot some hand combinations and when Beltran least expected, he was met by a question mark kick. Mariscal followed with a punch, but the referee hand seen enough.

Bravo vs Saull

In the co-main event, Bravo kept pushing the pushing the pace landing inside shots working Saull’s body. However, the difference in the fight was Saull’s takedowns, which didn’t favor Bravo.

Sandlin traded blows with Montaño, however, the Mexican was a standing punching machine. Every time the American would go toe-to-toe, Montaño had the upper hand. In fact midflight, Sandlin was busted open under his left eye.
