Combate Americas will make it’s return to Tucson, Arizona, this Friday, June 7. Combat Americas: Tucson Unbreakable, presented by Cricket Wireless has an electrifying card, headlined by bantamweight (135 pounds) former champion, Jose “Pochito” Alday (7-4-1) from Mexico and Juan Pablo “El Molo” Gonzalez (7-2-2) from Argentina.

This will be the second trip to Tucson for Gonzalez, who lost his last fight against Mario Bautista via unanimous decision at the same venue, Casino del Sol, on October 10 last year.

Though Gonzalez joined Combate Americas with an undefeated record, he has yet to win a fight with the promotion.  His first fight in Combate Americas was against Kevin Garcia in “Combate Estrellas 2“, held in April 2018, in Monterrey, México. Gonzalez took the fight on short notice when Garcia’s opponent was unable to fight due to injury.

“El Molo” started the fight strong, showing his world class kickboxing skills. Unfortunately, Garcia clicked into gear and won by unanimous decision.

This fight in Tucson against former champion Jose Alday could represent a new beginning for González, who trains in Alliance MMA along with notable names in the sport, such as Dominick Cruz, Gastón Reyno and Wilson Reis.

A victory for Gonzalez could place him at the top of Combat Americas‘s bantamweight division rankings and, even more importantly, help him regain his confidence in “La Jaula”.

Gonzalez’s striking ability, his movement, footwork and angle changes are sure to create an epic battle against elite striker, Jose Alday.

«Combate Americas: Tucson Unbreakable, presented by Cricket Wireless» will be broadcast in the United States in Spanish on Univision (12 am ET / PT) and UDN (12 am ET / 9 pm PT), and exclusively in English in the United States and Canada on DAZN (10 pm ET / 7 pm PT).
