The leading cable television in Peru, Movistar, joins Combate Americas to live telecast the company’s first event on South American soil and first of its class to be held in the country.

Movistar, will broadcast live and nationwide directly from the Manuel Bonilla Coliseum in the capital city of Lima on Friday, May 31, beginning at 9 p.m. local time. The event will set the ground as the largest in Peru’s history, and will be broadcasted in its entirety starting from the preliminary card (six fights), as well as the main card, which will feature four bouts. The transmission through Movistar will have an estimated duration of four hours.

“Combate Americas looks forward to expanding its television ratings dominance to Peru with the first major, live MMA event in the country’s history, and a collection of highly-anticipated battles between some of the country’s top fighters and their rivals from elsewhere in Latin America,” said Combate Americas CEO Campbell McLaren.

Combate Peru, will feature fighters from five different countries, such as Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Brazil, and Peru as the host country, and will have the usual team of narrators and color commentators for the Movistar live broadcast, as Andres Bermudez, Israel Romo and Ivette Hernandez will be on the air.
