Combate Americas made its return to San Antonio, Texas, in style, with nine vibrant Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), live from the Freeman Coliseum.

In the main event, Andre Barquero (7-2) took the victory after defeating Eduardo Alvarado (8-6) by submission in the third round. The match was a real war, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats until the end.

Barquero becomes the first Costa Rican male athlete to win under the Combate Americas banner, and the second ‘tico’ after Reina Córdoba, who achieved her first win in August of this year.

Nadine Mandiau (1-1) received her first career win after defeating Melissa “Thunder Rosa” Cervantes (0-1) in her professional debut.

After a three-round war, Fernando Gonzalez Treviño (4-3) defeated Paraguayan Cesar Arzamendia (8-5) by unanimous decision.
