Ivan castillo vs marcos lloreda 005

Lloreda vs Castillo

Both Castillo and Lloreda are on a winning streak. This year, both have been victorious twice. Castillo earned a unanimous decision in July and Lloreda defeated his opponent by way of unanimous decision in June. These victories all took place inside la jaula.

Lloreda, who trains with the Freedom Fighters, where Yoel Romero and others have trained, will bring his stand-up game to match up against Castillo. However, If Lloreda doesn’t seem to take control on their feet, anticipate him to take the fight to the ground and search for a submission.

For Castillo, combinations and playing the distance will work best for him. Although, he does have good takedown defense.

The first round should start off slow with the fight building itself to produce lots of punches and kicks.

Kaytlin neil vs pamela boveda aguirre 003

Aguirre vs Neil

It should be an emotional night for Neil. This is her first fight since having kneed surgery. Her last fight was about two years ago. The fact that she is jumping inside la jaula after experiencing her injury is a victory. Once she lays in her first pair of kicks, she should gain her confidence and wipeout the ring rust.

She’ll need her legs to push off or angle out to prevent Aguirre from taking her down.

Aguirre is a jiu jitsu expert having trained with the likes of Valdir Araujo, an experienced fighter in grappling. The fighter from Paraguay has not competed in mma for some time, but she has kept busy competing in grappling tournaments. This will be a typical stand up fighter versus a ground fighter type of competition.

Trey waters vs heriberto tovar 003

Trey Waters (3-0) vs Heriberto Tovar (7-5)

Waters took the fight on days notice, but he is prepared to meet Tovar in la jaula. With his undefeated streak on the line, Waters wants to make his presence felt on such a large stage as Combate Global. Looking at his three victories, Waters has never gone the distance in his victories. A win over Tovar, would catapult him to stardom. Expect him to go for the early finish with his hands.

Meanwhile, Tovar last mma victory was in 2016. Since then, he has been winless in mma and has ventured in competing in Muay Thai fighting. He is hungry for a win and knows that a last-minute opponent could be deadly. To win, he must be patient and land his shots when they matter most.
